Near Space Research (NSR), a campaign of the University of Rome La Sapienza and
The ISTAR Group from USA, launched two small stratospheric balloons during
January, 2012 from Ny-Ålesund as part of the Polar Observation Platform (POP)
campaigns. The second balloons trajectoy was somewhat surprising and unlike
unlike any flight profile experienced in the past 8 years.
